Whew! I spent an entire week trying various ways to create a more complicated version of this design procedurally with Substance Designer - and gave up. Lack of being able to work out the grid, easily trace off of grid, etc contributed to the failure. So I drew up this design in AutoCAD. And imported it in. Then colored it. Sigh. I did learn a lot trying to make it procedurally, so not a total waste of time.
